WHY HIRE A COACH

Posted 2023-05-01

We all want to achieve and improve no matter what that "improvement" is.

For some its a new PB/PR while or others its running non stop for 5 minutes.

The pitfalls in running are many, its a sport where in excess of 70% get injured. OMG!

Yes its a true statistic, some say  70 others even go as high as 80% but when we can safely say ONE in TWO people will get hurt, why is it so popular?

Everyone thinks they can walk and run which is so far from the truth.

In any case YOU want to find a coach if you really want to improve.

A COACH is there to guide you and help you navigate the minefield of training.

You pay for experience, knowledge  and results

Are all coaches created equal?  NO and there are a few key questions you should ask.

  1. How long have they been coaching for?
  2. Can they provide testimonials?
  3. What is their pedigree?
  4. How many people have they coached?
  5. Do they actually coach your sport?

In addition you want to see if you like their personality, approach.

They need to hold you accountable and at the same time guide you which is challenging.

So know how they do all of the above.

Good luck and if you have any question do not hesitate to ask the coach
