PSYCHOLOGY OF RACING


Scott Jurek, likely the world's best Ultra Marathoner had an amazing answer to the following question asked during an interview."Scott, can anyone be an Ultra-marathon runner?"

SJ-"Absolutely!", Interviewer-"What is running  it to you..."  SJ-" Its 90% Mental"  Interviewer-"and the last 10%?"  SJ in deep thought -"Mental"

 

How to prepare, warm up, break race down...?
How often do I drink, bring my own?
pre-during and post food ...what...,?
How do I keep my pace, focus, speed...?

For example - If RUNNING a 21km, you could think of it as four 5km and a 1km sprint!
